This is my thread for my pics of my tank. Tank is a 29g with 20g sump. I run ATL reef club member modified LEDs. (the made in china black boxes) I am blown away with how great this light has worked so far 5 months. lights run as followed: blues: 12-10, Whites/uv: 2-8. In my sump i have a bunch of cheato algae, live rock and a deep sand bed also a bunch of seachem matrix. I run a TLF reactor with seachem seagel. I used to run GFO but i felt like it was stripping all the PO4 completely and i didnt liek the brown dust on stuff. Since i run a LPS tank i dont want 0 po4. they like it a little dirty ;) I run the BH-50 reef octo skimmer works really well for the money. the sump has duel t5 lighting. Every thing is controlled by a RKL with 3 pc4 s and a sl1 to watch the PH, ORP and 2nd temp probe. Also it controls the float switch for my ato. Also have a house fan that turns on when the temp goes over 89.4 and off at 89.2. The heater never turns on i guess its because all of the pumps and heat?? My ATO is a 5g tank that fits perfect under my stand with all my equipment besdies the RKL so much water down there. I try to run a hands off tank i have found the more i mess with stuff the more unstable the tank is. i rarely do water changes about every 6 weeks about 10g. I dose reef fusion part a+b and this has kept my PH right at 8.1-8.3 and never changes more then that. i honestly have stoped testing every thing and just go by how my corals look. if they look pissed ill test or do a water change then test if the water change did help. For flow i have a DIY return with a kinda spray bar also forks off to a seperate return also. so a total of 2 return points into the tank. I use korlias one 900GPS and the other the nano to push water thru behind the rocks 240 gph.
